MAC Photoshoot!

I have been taking a MAC makeup class for the past 2 weeks! Tonight we had our photoshoot where we were in charge of coming up with an idea for a shoot, hair and makeup and any accessories. Frank Armstrong took the pictures, he is amazing. I won't get the disc for awhile so I packed my camera along and got some pictures of my work. My beautiful friend of about 10 years, Jessy, was my model! She was perfect for what I wanted! Here are some pictures I took tonight!

Was my younger brother's one year mark for being clean from drugs. Most of you might be wondering why I am writing about this, but I am very proud of my baby brother. I remember the day my mom called me to tell me that Dallas had a drug problem. I was taken by surprise. I had no idea he was into them.. or even how you did them for that matter. I will be the first to admit, I was judgemental of people who did drugs and always looked down upon people for it. I thought people who did drugs were bad people. This whole experience has changed my outlook on the topic. We got Dallas into an in-patient rehab down in Cottonwood. It was called The Ark. I would go up every Thursday for the family therapy session where all of the patients and their families learned about drugs and why people do them, what they do to your body, and how to help your loved ones to overcome using them. During the sessions they would have patients sit in the middle of the room with their family members, and tell them everything they wanted to ever say (while the rest of us sat and listened) I heard some of the craziest stories, but also met some really neat people. I have a whole new understanding for people with drug addictions, or any addiction for that matter. My brother has overcome so much in this past year, and I am so proud of him. He has grown up so much, and I can't believe how far he has come. My brother is one of my best friends, and I love him to death. Dal, I love you and I'm so proud of you buddy for staying stong and facing your addiction!

... Today is ...

My dad's 47th birthday! I love my dad so much, and I am so thankful to have him in my life. He is so smart and know's how to do so many different things. I can always call him when I have car problems, or don't know how to work a lawn mower! He know's about everything! And he is always so willing to help me out. He has supported me through the years, whether I wanted to be a professional soccer player, a dental hygienist, a hair stylist, or even a photographer. He was always there to offer his advice and show his love and support. Some of the things I miss would be spending time with him, beating him in HORSE (basketball) and going to the Uintah's with him. When I was little I thought my dad was the best snowmobiler ever! I remember bragging at school about the hills he could climb, and how fast he could go! I also remember bragging about how my dad had the fastest truck! I look up to my dad so much, and I will continue to as I always have! I think he will make a great grandpa one day and I can't wait for my kids to have a 'Grandpa Harry' just like I have! I love you dad, and I hope you had a really good birthday!

Father's Day.

Pa! I just want you to know how much I love you, and appreciate all that you do for me. I couldn't ask for a better dad. You have supported me through the years and pushed me to follow my dreams and always strive to do the best that I can. I am so much like you in so many ways, and I love that. You played a big part in the person I am today. There are so many good qualities I have because of you. I know Dan loves that I love to clean and do yardwork! I learned those things from you. I love you so much and I could never thank you enough for all that you do for me! Happy Father's Day!

Taylor's Baby Shower!

My friend Taylor is having a baby boy next month. They are going to name him Dawson. I went up to Logan today for her shower! It was fun to catch up with old friends, and I know Taylor will be such a good mom! I didn't get many pictures, but I will steal some from them once they post some!
